What is Rolodoc?

Rolodoc is a social networking system for the medical community. Toted as a “Facebook for doctors and patients” the system is meant to streamline communication. Patients can also ask questions, book appointments, and send direct messages just like any other social media app.

The product may have been good, but Richard and Albert’s pitch was one of the worst, according to both Barbara Corcoran and Mark Cuban. Apparently, they failed to explain how they would market their product, or how they could convince doctors to sign up for the app.

Who are Richard and Albert Amini?

Richard and Albert Amini are brothers, and both in the medical profession. Both graduated from University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson. Richard’s an assistant professor at the UA Department of Emergency Medicine; Albert is a clinical instructor and hepatobiliary surgery fellow at the Medical College of Wisconsin Froedtert Hospital.

Are They Still in Business?

No, they are not still in business. The idea was ultimately abandoned by the brothers.
