What is Ora Organics?
The three entrepreneurs created Ora Organics in 2015 with the goal to make nutritional supplements. These supplements are plant based instead of animal based. The company’s protein powder has no added sugars, fillers, artificial colors or preservatives. The cool thing about the Ora Organics box? You can throw the box into your garden, watch the box break down and beautiful sunflowers will grow there instead.
In their demonstration on Shark Tank, the guys started pouring chemical ingredients into a pot. To show how different their product is from the traditional products, they reveal a table filled with fresh fruits and vegetables. They went on to explain to American how man-made vitamins aren’t good for you like you may think and why Ora Organics is the way to go.
No, Ora Organics did not make a deal on Shark Tank. Will and Ron walked into the tank seeking $375,000 for only 5% stake in their company. Robert was the first shark to take himself out of the running, citing that he is not in the supplement business. Kevin was the only shark that believed in what the Ora Organics founders were creating. He offered $375k for 20%. However, the guys don’t accept the deal and leave the tank without any investors from the ABC show.
However, it was noted that investors were watching Ora Organics pitch the sharks and struck deals with them outside of the show.
Is Ora Organics Still in Business?
