Frescos Naturales is a set of 6 flavored bubbly water drinks. They have definite Guatemalan roots in their names and flavors. Founded by Juan Stewart, he is on the stage seeing if the Shark Tank sharks want to grab some equity in their company. Who is Juan Stewart? Let’s find out now.
1. Juan lives in Boulder, Colorado which can explain why many of the drinks in his line can be found in local stores throughout Boulder and other small towns in Colorado.
2. He is a very outgoing and seemingly extraverted man. They took Frescos Naturales to the Naturally Boulder Pitch Slam back in October of 2021. They walked in with tons of unstoppable energy as one commenter named Stephanie_51 said and won the entire pitch slam competition!
3. It doesn’t start and stop with Frescos Naturales. No! He is also founder of a company named “Green Belly Foods” which is a Colorado-based line of premium hot sauces and salsas. greenbelllyfoods.com
4. Graduating from the University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Film Studies and Media Production, Juan looks to be just about 37 years old.
5. Previously Stewart worked in the media/film world as an assistant editor intern for Crispin Porter and Bogustky, then Media Arts Director/Teacher for the Latin American Center for Arts, Science and Education, then producer for Grove Street Media for over 14 years. Once he left his position as a producer he walked into his own business in Green Belly Foods which was started in 2015. Frescos Naturales started in December of 2020.
6. Stewart was featured in 5280 Magazine where he speaks about sharing his traditional recipes with a modern twist. It was appropriately titled “Recipe for Success.”
