FORT – The Magnetic Pillow Fort Company
Conor describes FORT like this, “It’s the perfect combo of magnets and foam, for the most fun a kids ever had. Remember building pillow forts as a kid? Well we just took it to the next level!”
Conor gained tens of thousands of followers on social media before he launched his Kickstarter project. He set out to raise $25k. To his surprise, he completely surpassed his goal and raised $3.1 million in two months.
Conor’s Kickstarter campaign raised the most money any St. Louis campaign has ever made.
How did FORT come about?
FORT was born early on in the COVID pandemic. Mr. Lewis was inspired to create the company after he lost his job and was a stay at home dad watching his toddler.
He doesn’t give up! He sent a tweet out to his followers in September of 2021. “Today though, I’m still wondering how to pull it off. I know it won’t be perfect, but I’m doing my job. I’m not giving up, I’m iterating and learning as I go. I’m proud of that,” he wrote.
