The shirts are made from 100% long fiber cotton and go through a special manufacturing process to get their super-soft quality.

Shark Tank Recap
With a successful presentation and heartfelt story, Danh struck a chord with the sharks. But, unfortunately for ones like Lori Greiner, investing in Buttercloth competed with her other brands, so she went out. Mark Cuban went out because he thought they should spend more time on marketing. Guest shark Charles Barkley thought it was too risky; he was out. Kevin O’Leary was scared away by the customer acquisition costs, so he went out.
This left Robert Herjavec. Robert was really touched by Danh’s immigration story, and liked their online strategy. He believed he could help the brand, so his offer of $250,000 for 25% still stood – firm. Danh accepted.
Butter Cloth Shark Tank Recap: How Much Did They Ask For?

Who is Danh Tran?
Danh Tran came to the US from Vietnam. He’s been into fashion since he was young, and eventually studied fashion design at Otis College of Art and Design. Then, he was head designer at Affliction Clothing for 10 years. His idea for Butter Cloth came about because he was frustrated by how scratchy and stiff traditional shirts were. So, he decided to make his own. He even got former NBA star Metta World Peace as an investor and celebrity spokesperson for Butter Cloth.
Are They Still in Business?
Yes, they are still in business. In a Shark Tank update episode in season 11, they introduced the Robert Herjavec Collection. In summer 2021, they introduced underwear to the line, as well as Icy Cotton Polos, which have cooling properties. Butter Cloth 10.0 is their latest endeavor, which apparently are shirts 10x softer than the original style. Shop their styles now.
