What is Ryan’s Barkery?
Ryan’s Barkery – rebranded as Ry’s Ruffery – is a healthy, delicious dog treat made from fresh ingredients. Flavors like pumpkin apple, banana oat, and low-fat cheddar had the neighborhood kids’ dogs wanting more treats, so Ryan began selling them. Ryan’s motto? “Don’t feed your dog what you wouldn’t eat yourself!”
Did They Strike a Deal?
Yes, a deal was made with Barbara Corcoran. She gave Ryan Kelly the $25,000 for 25%.
Shark Tank Recap
Though Ryan’s pitch (his mom Daniela at his side) was great for an 11-year-old, the sharks did not buy into it. Kevin O’Leary and Mark Cuban asked about sales; Barbara asked where he got the money to start his business. The answers? At the time of the show, Ryan sold 200 bags at $4.00, and it only cost him 0.36 cents to make!
But, neither Kevin or Mark, nor Robert Herjavec or Lori Greiner went in on deals. It was Barbara Corcoran who offered up the exact amount of money Ryan asked for, at the exact percentage asked too. They ended up taking the deal.
